While in Alaska, we bought a 40 foot 5th Wheel Work and Play toyhauler. First thing we did was install a gooseneck adapter while it was still on the dealers lot in Wasilla. We pulled that thing from Talkeetna to Seward and all over the Kenai with no issues until we sold it a year later. I think a lot of it has to do with the specific trailers they are installed on. That Work and Play was a very stout trailer. I wouldn't put one on just any 5th wheel as some are built weaker than others. I haven't used one on the last 2 5th wheels we've had, it just isn't worth the risk.
