GOT MY (LT) MAN CARD.....I did IT!!!!!

After 6 years on the same set of Power King Tow Max STs, I'm also in the process of switching to 6 BRIDGESTONE DURAVIS R250 on my Toy Hauler. I say "in the process" because Costco will not install LT tires on a trailer or any tires on a trailer for that matter. So, I am doing only 2 at a time myself because I only have 2 jack stands.

I went with the 245/75 R16's because the Costco tire guy said that the diameter is closer to the OEM spec of 235/80 than the 235/85s and that the lower profile will be slightly more stable ... *shrug* dunno...

You will like the R250's! I have them on my dually and they are wearing much better than the REVO II's and BFG's. Just be careful in the rain as they do not like it and will lose traction quite easily.

If you got G614's for $270-$280 a tire -you did good! Most are paying $330 and up for that tire. 17.5 rubber and a wheel would be my direction at the $330 a tire mark.

$294 a tire , mounted and balanced. What I like is the fact they are retread-able up to 5 times. Cant beat that with a stick.:)

Have you heard the saying "you get what you pay for". :) I will be interested to hear how these do over time.

I will let you know how they do, we are on the road till November. There are a lot of hot shot drivers using these carrying more weight for a lot more miles than I will ever run.

I had a set of Duraviz on my triple axle toyhauler for 10 years and just replaced them with another set. They looked brand new still with no weather checking or any damage whatsoever. I just got nervous since they were so old. The new set is now nearly 2 years old and have been great as well. Ever notice they don't loose air. My old ST tires on my original toyhauler were always needing to be topped off. These never.

I think you will be happy with the change
My rig tows better with the LT's, stiffer sidewalls = less sway and bouncing.
I was getting about 1 1/2 years out of a set of ST's before they started to bubble or separate.
Going on 2 years with the LT's.
