Grand Design Reflection

Like jay-tee we purchased a 337rls (#481). We are currently on it's maiden voyage to OK (Winstar RV park) It is far enough away to get a good shake out but not too far that if something goes wrong we can get it back ok. We have been here for since 1-16 and will return to Arlington on 1-20. We are putting her through her paces as we plan on using it as retirees.

I was told by the dealer to make a list of the little thing s that need to be taken care of and on the return just go by and drop it off for the warranty stuff. I was told that there is always something. Welllll? Not really. I pure delight. Everything works and works like it was advertised. My comments reflect exactly what jaytee said. Wifey likes the kitchen, cabinets and counter space. I like how well it was constructed. Like most new things, there is a learning curve. We are learning all about it.

Here is a tip. When plugging in (50 amp) the male end has two tiny blue LED lights. BOTH lights should be on IF the power at the pole is good. We learned this after hooking up and the hot water heater AND microwave oven would not work. CHECK THOSE LITTLE BLUE LED LIGHTS. IF ONE IS NOT WORKING THAT MEANS ONE LEG OF THE POWER RECEPTACLE IS NOT WORKING AT THE POLE. You will save yourself a lot of tooth enamel and maybe a divorce if you keep that little tip in mind.

Beside that -- so far so great. We are having a great time with absolutely no, nada issues.

Just wanted to add my 2c. We bought a reflection 303 and will take delivery in two days. We shopped around for about 6 months and waled through countless coaches, and read tones of data. After all that we originally settled on the Crusader by prime Time, when we went to the dealer we where told that they would not be carrying the prime time line anymore so we needed to find a new dealer. We found a dealer about 250 miles away. We drove there found the model we wanted and where about to write the check when the salesman just mentioned the Reflection he told us where it was and we chose to take a look. Well my wife liked it right off the bat, better layout, more cabinet space ad yes more counter space, I asked a lot of questions about the construction and material, most of these guys use pretty much the same material. But as far as workmanship IMHO they are right up there with prime time and some of the higher end coaches. I will post more after our maiden voyage which will be in February. We are at close to 70 this week, California you know. Go miners!!!!

@2hams Correction Montana High Country does indeed provide their construction specifications it can be found in their brochure which can be found at the following link. http://www.keystonerv.com/media/598276/2013_MontanaHighCountry_Brochure.pdf. I am certain the other manufacturers also provide their construction specifications. By construction specification one would consider the materials used in the walls, ceilings, flooring, windows, suspension, etc. For example wall are constructed from 2 inch welded aluminum studs, roof 5 inch thick arched rafters, floor Laminated floor with 3” thick aluminum floor joists & high density block foam to list a few not the manufacturer of the awning, refrigerator, toilet, thermostat.

We took delivery of the Reflection 337RLS last month and plan on the initial outing later this month. We had been shopping to upgrade from a Jayco travel trailer for the last couple of years and feel like we have found the perfect unit for our needs. My wife loved this floor plan over the 303RLS because of the additional counter space/kitchen storage and the shower configuration. I was impressed with the quality of construction compared to other 5th wheels in this price range. The 337RLS is 2-3 feet longer and a little heavier than the 303RLS but still within out truck towing capacity. I'll try to post an update after the maiden voyage. :-)

We just got our 337 RLS it's in my garage right now. I ordered it in early November it arrived 5 weeks later, can't tell much about it now, we've never used it. One thing I can say, it's a nice floorplan, and very nice interior, very good looking unit. I won't get to do a shake down until spring, it will just set nice and dry until then. New tires ( Ribs) coming this week, hitch for bike rack being built, just getting the general feel of it for now.

We just ordered one last saturday after looking for 6 months. Looks like you live in Ohio, call the company and schedule a plant tour. You won't be disappointed and great people to deal with.

We have only been out for 2 nights on a shakedown cruise. So far we love the 303RLS. You can get to the fridge, bath and bedroom with slides in.There seems to be plenty of counter space, at least for us. Pictures on manufacturer website are really what it looks like. If you get one made Nov or later it should have the mod to allow for 16" wheels. See my Maiden Voyage post in the fifth wheel forum for a couple of pictures.

Grand Design has changed the bedroom dresser configuration to 2 closets. It was a surprise to us at PDI, but we like it. I included a picture of this in my post on the Grand Design Owners Forum click here

BTW, many manufacturers do not include construction info -- Montana High Country for example. Grand Design is on a Lippert frame with a Lippert pin box. The 303 has 5200# axles. Flooring is BeauFloor. Toilet is Thetford. TV and microwave are some off brand. Awning is Solera (Lippert). Fridge is Atwood, fireplace is Greystone, thermostat is Dometic, water heater is Atwood.
