Great idea someone had. Thanks

To who ever posted about making a storm door from the screen door thank you. It took me 30 minutes to install and the Lexan was on sale @ Lowes for $28. I used double faced tape to hang the Lexan. Franklin NC looks like 41 degrees tonight. Thanks again.

  • X2 on photos. Oops. Sorry. The post with the link showed up just as I posted.
  • any of you guys have pictures for us limited folks to see.
  • When We did our door, I drove the rig to the glass shop, so they could cut the upper curve to fit the door. Was just going to get the pieces and put them on ourselves. The shop tech remeasured everything himself, then asked how I planned to mount then and did I have the pieces. He came back out with the fitted pieces, and before I could say anything, had everything mounted and finished. Charged me for the lexan and cutting it. Said he just wanted to make sure I didn't damage the Lexan while I installed it. Said I didn't have any business up on a ladder.
  • I did that several years ago and we really like it. We took the screen out and used velcor to attach the panels.

  • We used mirror clips. Makes it ease to remove the lexan for cleaning.
