Well close, the payload listed in the door sticker accounts for a 150# driver and there is debate on fuel, but most account for a full fuel tank.
What I don't see on your option list is the 5th wheel prep package, (AKA Puck System) for a 5th wheel hitch. With a 2,270# Payload you will hard pressed to carry a 10,000# 5er within the numbers.
Okay I got it now. See this isn't a deal breaker. We are NOT going to go full time, we are only going to go out and visit family, and do some fun traveling, we will always have home to come back to. I just pull a slightly smaller RV to keep myself in the safe range. It's just the wife and I, so we don;t need a massive RV, pretty much just a place to sleep and just have some fun.
That's why I came here in the first place, I looked at and got the truck I wanted, now I find an RV to match the truck, which was to original intent. My first post was to give an idea where I was thinking (because I was not sure). Now I know what to look for.
So I can tow a 16# trailer no problem, just can't haul the weight on the pin. I know what to look for now.
Thanks everyone for chiming in....
