GY Endurance or Carlisle Radial Trail HD

So, what is the word on the street? I am committed to 15" tires, so pretty much no truck tires will hold the camper. Now the real question, are the Endurance worth the extra 30 or 40 percent, over the Carlisle? I carry 8,050 pounds (after subtracting the pin weight) on 4 ST225/75R15 tires, rated at 2830 pounds each.

Thank you for the opinions.
  • The Endurance has a good name, and it is MADE IN AMERICA. Thay would be enough for me. I spent the extra $$ and put 6 Goodyear G614, G rated tires on my trailer and no issues in 3 years.

  • Here is my opinion...no personal experience with either, but knowledge from research, as I am planning to replace my Providers this Spring. I'd get the Endurance, rather than Carlisle. My Provider tires were excellent tires, in every way! The Providers, Carlisle HD, and Endurance are all of newer similar design. Having had the Providers for years on my FW (installed OEM), I can vouch for them.

The Provider I need is a bit scarce, and a bit higher priced than the Endurance, at this time. I will likely buy new Endurance, price not as important as quality, reputation, and made in USA. People buying the Endurance, mostly report a fresh build date, very important to me.

If on a budget, I think the Carlisle HD are still a good choice, and like I mentioned similar design, including a higher M speed rating. Not that it really matters, but the Endurance is N-rated at 87 mph, vrs M at 81.

  • Do you want to know that once installed all you need to do is keep them properly inflated? If so the ENDURANCE with 5 years on the market and no reported non road hazard failures is your choice.

Talk to the Manager at your local Discount/America's Tire about pricing.

Bonus is they are Made in USA with a 87mph speed rating.
