Hail on the roof

We had a severe hail storm about a week ago. It was severe enough that our insurance company is putting a new roof on our house. The 5er is parked in our driveway. After the storm I climbed up onto the roof and looked around. I can't see any damage. But I don't have an eye that is trained to identify that sort of damage. Is it possible that there is damage to the 5er and I just couldn't detect it? Has anyone had a situation similar to this? What do you all recommend?

  • We had an hail storm in south Louisisan a few months ago. same as you, roof damage on the house, but the camper was fine.
  • The rubber roof may have small holes where the hail hit. If you see a dimple look real close for a hole in the rubber.
  • Have a friend who is selling his RV on eBay because the hail actually punched over 30 holes in his unit. The big problem was the hidden bruising of the wood and structure under the roof membrane, which was much more extensive than he thought at first. If it were mine, I would call the insurance company and let them have it evaluated. I think you will be surprised at the damage it caused.
