When I had my Timber Ridge TT I would take it out occasionally in the colder months and drag it down to the St George or Moab area where there were many campsites open. Up here in the northern part of the state there aren't many spots worth going to open. With the new fifth wheel I can't prep it or winterize in the driveway because it's to long to fit. The snow plows have left a wall of snow on the curb so I would have to go straight from the storage lot to the campground more or less. This spring I intend to pour and RV pad big enough to store the 5er on so maybe then. That said, like the OP, we have a 10 day trip planned for the first of March and will probably have serious cabin fever by then, and really appreciate the road trip.
