HAPPIJAC electric bed mod Help

DW and I have a Jayco Octane 161 the electric bed support runners end just below the window, thus the bed does not come all the way to the floor and I am not sure how I am going to deal with that. I wonder if the rails that run the bed up and down could be replaced with longer ones.

Can the rails that run the Happijac bed up and down be replaced with longer ones.

  • I got the full story from Lippert, very helpful folks.

  • I just sent Lippert an email about replacing the lift rails.

    Thanks for the information.

  • How often do you maintain the happi-jac tracks? manual said to spray with a lubricant, but I did not see how often. I am a new Livinlite toy hauler owner.
    Thanks,

  • Yep, like nather said. A friend had a Happi-jac that didn't go low enough - he ordered new, longer tracks and chains then relocated the lower limit switch - made wife happy.
  • I'm sure you can replace the runners and chain but it will be quite a job. Contact Lippert, they own Happijac.
  • The electric bed will only come down to 54 inches from the floor.

  • Is there a reason you need the bed on the floor, our lower bed comes down equal to the seat of the couch so they are the same height when the couch is a bed. The upper bed we usually leave up unless needed.
