Hopefully, this was not you. But I get a real kick watching folks with rubber gloves at the dump stations. I witnessed this just a couple week ends ago at the dump station:
Working in a public restaurant during my 1970's college days is what makes me keenly aware of this... touching your face and hair while prepping food. A lot of people rub the end of their noses or wipe their brow when cooking, even with gloves on. This was a great big NO-NO when I was fast food hamburger flipper. But it stuck with me.
So, 2 week-ends ago I watched the guy in front of me. He had on his rubber gloves, and then I counted! He wiped his forehead 3 times, scratched his nose 4 times, and put his hands on his hips ....well, while he waited for the drain to finish. And I am ABSOLUTELY sure he was not conscious he was doing this. We touch our face so many times a day and don't even realize it. We touch our pants pockets, hips, cross our arms, brush our clothing, tuck in our shirts, constantly touch ourselves, EVEN at the dump stations when folks are wearing gloves. But if you wear gloves, you need to consider what the gloves touch next!
So ... um ... all you folks that wear gloves? ... ???? Get the idea?
