If you only needed an inch, I would have told you to lower the pressure in your tires to gain the needed clearance. Since you need 4" of extra clearance, you could consider removing the AC unit when you want to put your rig away for the year. It sounds a little extreme but I believe it is only 4 fasteners. I spoke with a gentlemen at the Crossroads factory rally this summer who has done this for years and it hasn't created any leak or performance issues with the AC unit.
