Help! Landi g gear not working.

Ok so I was helpingoing my dh hook up by raising the landing gear so he could back up and hitch up. All of the sudden the toggle switch quit. Fiver has power. Lights are all on and everything else working. What could it be?
  • Had the same thing happen, pulled the switch apart cleaned the contacts good to go.
  • Problem solved for now. Almost embarrassed to say but ds said Dad did you try the remote control? Uh,no. New to us fiver and we forgot about remote. Dh said switch is bad but we can get one. Weekend saved!
  • Yes, it could be a bad switch. Do you have a meter/tester and know how to check switch? You could just jump across/bypass switch to see if motor turns. It could be the motor too, or a loose wire connection to the motor. You just need to follow the wires to check for current, or lack of current.

  • Thanks for replies. Just read on heartland forum it could be broken/bad toggle switch.
  • Could be the landing gear circuit breaker. It would normally reset in a short time and start working again. They can give out, and need to be replaced.

  • Blown fuse. There should be a 30A blade type inline fuse between the switch and the motor.
