Don't know if it will work on the RV, but we have removed pine sap from our dogs with peanut butter... just rub the peanut butter on, and wipe off, then rinse. Works almost like magic - well at least on dogs it does :-)

Turpentine removes the sap without removing the fabric color. Then just wash out the residual turpentine with "Joy". This has worked for me for years on convertible tops,boat covers,lawn furniture and vehicles. Never had a problem with it.

WD 40. Won't harm anything including vinyl. We use it on the cars all the time.

The 'best' way is to never let it get there in the first place. I suggest a large tarp.

If you do a search on Utube there's a fella did a test for this. Of his cleaners, Isopropyl Alcohol came out on top. I used it, worked as advertised.
