Help solve my mystery? Couple weeks out of warranty

Start simple. Make certain all your wiring connections to the battery are tight. Could be as straightforward as a loose connection causing a high resistance somewhere. Doesn't take much when you're drawing lots of current.

Also call the manufacturer and request a courtesy warranty extension. Maybe you'll get lucky.
