Help solve my mystery? Couple weeks out of warranty

Had similar problem with my TV. Took to mechanic and it took all day and found the same thing that kcmoedoe indicated. The wires would get hot and would separate, when cool (with-in seconds)reconnected and worked like it was suppose to.

This had been happening for over a year until it finally burned through. No fire just would not start.

Seems like the same problem.
