I doubt you will have any issues towing with that combination although you won't win any races in mountainous regions. On mostly flat ground your truck should do very well with the exception of mpg, I certainly wouldn't hesitate to use your current tow vehicle particularly if it's paid off. Enjoy your new 5er, hope it is all you expected and more.
