Here it is!!

Hi everyone... Well last Saturday was the day. We picked up our new Elkridge 37ULTRA. Wow is this baby big. All my past trailers were a travel trailer so this is my very first fiver. I live about an hour south of the dealership and good googly woo does this baby pull nice. The old Ford pulled this straight and one hand on the wheel. Wish I would of known this years ago. Ran into only a couple of problems at the delivery, the 2nd AC in the bedroom didn't work and all the knobs on the outside were very corroded to which the dealership said "yep". I guess thats means we acknowlege that but aren't going to fix it. Then when we got home my mom, that's right a 68 year old lady, noticed that we have 2 different rims on this baby. Really. All of us even Heartland missed this but not mom... The new rig should be in my signature if I did it right.

    They should also be addressing corroded knobs? If a few screws I'd replace but you need to be careful. If just the head is corroded it is no big deal and likely from road salt on a winter delivered rig. If the whole screw is corroded you have a water intrusion issue in the area behind the screws and that needs further attention.

    Thanks everyone. We can not wait to start camping. Just to clarify, I made them fix the AC before we left. You should of seen the look on the mechanics face when he turned it on and I asked him where does the air come out. And we didn't notice the rims until we got home. So first thing this morning I got ahold of the dealership and sent the picture of the rims and they ordered a replacement today. But we will be making a punch list this year of anything that is wrong before this goes out of warranty, The kids were pretty sad when I told them we had to put it away and we had to wait to use it.

    Certainly your dealer should be fixing or replacing the AC that does not work. The dealer should be getting the matching wheel from Heartland, and get it replaced for you.

    X2 Yes beautiful rig, but with only an hour drive to the dealer, if it were me the 5er would still be at the dealer, and the dealer would not have my signature and money until the AC was fixed and the wheel was on order, and signed document that they were replacing it!!
