I also have a bit of an odd situation as my RV slip slopes down pretty sharp from the street. I slide mine back each time I park so the angle of the trailer doesn't cause the underside of the bedroom to clip the back corners of my truck bed. By sliding back I change the angle. This truck/5th combo would probably be okay but my old setup with different truck and 5th would hit since I had less bed rail clearance.

All good points. I was looking at the curt q16 and for $350 more I can have the slider, it does add 150 pounds to the hitch but still keeps me well under my weights. I might be taking a 8 hour drive to Ohio, found a 2017 for $26k.
