Hideout?

Hideout overall? I would add more to it, but I'm looking for any experience with the hideout products.
  • I'm lookin at Hideouts and Springdales. We have good deals here in MT. It will get us to retirement, but purchase being delayed due to stupid house I will sell you in Topeka Kansas... We also looked at a Jayco White Hawk with the perfect layout but 6K more. The Keystone products seem pretty decent for entry value.

So, still poppin up but that is fun too.
  • Value priced trailers. My Hornet(previous product name) is 11 years old and served me well.
  • Hideout is what Keystone will do if you have a warranty problem.

In reality they are no better or worse then other RV'S in the same price point.

    Sorry...but is a 'hideout' a 5th wheel?

Apparently a Keystone product - can be either a TT or 5th wheel.

  • I bought one in January and so far it's been almost completely trouble free. I had to have it because my wife had to have the floor plan of a certain unit. I was skeptical due to it being Keystone's entry level unit. I've been overall impressed with the quality and setup of it. Of course, it's no custom home with hardwood cabinets but is nice enough and a great value for the money IMO.

RVs (of any brand) at this price point are just such a roll of the dice. Any internet research will undoubtedly turn up horror stories but do keep in mind you are about 500X more likely to read of problems than happy consumers.

Considering I'm only 6 months in I can't give much of a longevity report but I'm certainly happy with my purchase so far.

A note on pricing - I got out paying 32K for an MSRP of 47K 5th. Granted, it was January and the dealer was super hungry but I just wanted to throw it out there if you are shopping.
