- fireman93514ExplorerI agree with what has been posted here. An easy drive.
- lillyputzExplorer III've traveled 88 many years with no problems as this is part of my back door play ground. There are a few steep areas like Carson pass and out of Silver lake. you'll do fine. Very scenic.
Lillyputz - TravelonExplorerBeen over that route with our 37' many times, no problem.
Enjoy the scenery,
Travelon - tsetsafExplorer IIIIt is a good mountain road. We pulled our 37 footer over it in November after the first winter storm passed through. There was ice over the top and we survived. Make sure you have adequate supplemental braking (ie exhaust brake) as it is a long gradual drop to the valley floor. Also note that depending on the day people do commute that highway back and forth so you will need to allow faster traffic to pass pretty regularly. There are plenty of turnouts; use them.
- timfloodExplorerI have pulled a 30ft. From Stockton to Lake Tahoe a few times no big deal

That should be an easy pull for your rig.
Now for the ugly stuff: Please read the Forum Rules, specifically;
"You are not allowed to post the same message in multiple forums without permission from one of the Open Roads Forum moderators." - Carl_n_SusanNomad IIIt shouldn't be a problem for you. This is a favorite route for semis traveling between Reno and the Gold Country (Pine Grove, Jackson, etc.). Mostly two lanes with passing lanes on the uphills, Hwy-88 is a good road. I drove it twice last summer in my truck and would have no problem dragging my 40' fifth wheel that way.
