Highway Travel

The stuff in the far back can move around a bit. I have lots two laptops due to my chair jumping around and landing on them. I now keep my laptop up front on the bed.

My dishes stay right where they are. I have shocks.

On my TT, no matter how much I try, something always moves/falls/shifts. Especially near the back. Just one of those things.

The only times we've had a problem was a couple of times on really, really rough stretches of certain interstates. Definitely the exception and not the rule.

It probably is no different than the MH, however, cheaper to ask!!!!

Just use paper plates between each dish and bowls etc.

Yep, pretty much the same as the MH, but things will be more prone to bounce about towards the rear. If you have reliners / dining chairs, make sure they are restrained.

Tow the 5er level and put good shocks on it and it will ride smooth.

Things seem to bounce/move more as you move back in your trailer or 5th wheel. The front is a nice soft sweet spot - slow rolling bounces controlled by the TV suspension and your trailer's attachment to it. The middle is right over the axles and does okay but is, of course, right over the axles so there is some bouncing. The rear seems to get a magnification of everything.

Valuables like laptops go great on the bed in a front bedroom 5th wheel. I sometimes think I could set a cup of coffee on top of it and not lose a drop while driving. My kitchen is right over the axles and things do jump around a bit but nothing too bad. I couldn't imagine having a rear kitchen. I'd need rubber plates. My 5th wheel has the kids' room in the back and despite them picking up before we leave, everything is on the floor again when we arrive.

We had the same problem with things coming out of the cabinets (rear kitchen) when we had the TT. but now have the 5'er no real problems, just every now and then something small forgotten to put away thing pops out. Just remember to check around the slide area, before extending them. Lost a bottle of Olive oil that way !! But hey it made the floor shine better than it ever did lol! Foam rubber between shower doors if you have the multi-pane glass sliding type. Beware cabinet doors that can bump open and catch on the slides as you are bringing them out after you arrive.
