Hitch Camera

I would like to purchase a wireless hitch camera as I have a difficult time seeing my fiver hitch over my truck box.

I have seen advertisements for the "iBall" brand, but have seen negative comments regarding this product. Do any of you have further comments regarding this product?

Are there any similar products that work better? (I want a battery-operated camera as I would mount it on the back of my truck cab only for hitching up, then remove it prior to leaving for my driving day.)

  • anyone using a camera mounted to the pinbox? (trailer side).

I am using a wireless camera for the trailer rear, and a spare 7in tablet as the viewer.

if I add a relay and a small second camera to the pinbox I could use that during hitching and the rear cam the rest of the time.
  • I have the Swift Hitch camera system and mounted the camera to a suction cup mount on my rear window and can see the hitch & king pin perfectly. When I return home I attach the camera to one of the steel post of the RV car port and back in the 5er to within a couple of inches of the wall. I like it. :)
  • I have the Swift Hitch camera systemclick which looks similar to the iball, I've compared the two side by side and thought the Swift Hitch was a better built product overall and the range is remarkable, when I first got it I could get perfect reception from my kitchen all the way down to the utility room in my basement also the camera is all steel built with a weather-proofing cap for rain. I use it for hooking up my fiver as well as my pontoon boat trailer and my cargo trailer, I have a steel disc I mounted under the upper cabinet in front of my rear window in my fiver so it can be used as a back-up/rea camera as well, a true multi-tasker, I even used it to find a part I dropped under my pull-out couch in my fiver(it has great night vision).
  • My iBall works just fine. I especially like the reverse image button that gives you a rear view mirror view.
