  • Regular examination of all hitches and trailer gear is essential. RVing is fun but it is not carefree.
  • YEAH......

But did you see how that Anderson folded like a cheap suit !

  • There is always that need for a person to defend what they bought by posting about a failure of another. Even if that failure was from 5 years ago.

Yes I did. The lesson here is obvious anything can fail given the right conditions even with some of the giants of the industry. They are made by humans. Have you ever herd the saying that says Don't ever buy anything American made that is made on a Friday or Monday.. On Friday workers have their mind on the party weekend and on Monday they have a hangover from that party. I am not suggesting that the Reese was made by Americans but it is still a given that if a human made it then that same human can make mistakes. They still put erasers on pencils don't they

I am not defending any of them. I didn't buy an expensive slider because I have a 6.5 foot bed and I liked the concept that Anderson provided, so I won't have to get out of my truck and slide my fifth wheel to navigate parking or sharp turn situations I couldn't afford an expensive auto slider so I went with the Anderson and it works just fine. If it fails on me then it fails but I am not going to put my *** in a ringer to see if I can test it's reliability. I am going to be careful and drive as stated in the common sense manual that came with the hitch Or the common sense manual that comes with any other hitch for that matter.

He probably doesn't know all this has been hashed out before and it just brings out the brand bashers.
Hell we can go back in time and find where someone has had a problem with any brand of hitch ....even with a SAF-Holland or a Fontaine or a Jost big rig hitches.
