We had a professional welder put a hitch on our Jayco HT, which Jayco says will void the warranty. We pull our 3,000+ boat and trailer back and forth to the lake to fish and stay and, to date, haven't had a problem. As noted above, have a professional do the work. Ours reinforced the frame about 4-6' from the rear towards the axle before attaching the hitch which he fabricated. I would not suggest a bolt-on hitch, rather an fabricated one, I believe you will be happier.
