File the insurance claim and get it done professionally. That's why you have the insurance! Its a comprehensive claim so no rate increase. I had a 6" tree limb pierce my slide out roof on our new TT. 2000 claim to fix, only 100 deductible with Geico. They said no rate increases on comp claims.. only collision. BTW-- They wrote the check directly to the repair dealer, NOT to me. That's how they do it! Fine with me, I wanted it done right!
