trailer had some upgrades this summer, changed axles to 5200# from 3500s, added 2ft dovetail, heavy duty jack, widened frame to full width so ATVS can be side by side. still need to finish wiring and outside wood. - tooldad1041Explorer
had to use 2 sets of ramps because of low profile
made it up there! - tooldad1041Explorer

using 4 corner straps for mounting. plan is to add tubing to each corner and use some modified slide in truck camper jacks to lift camper off trailer if I ever need full length of trailer.
used these same straps when I had a slide in camper, so it should for for this 900# camper. - tooldad1041Explorer
still 17ft behind the camper. enough for UTV and 2 ATVs, or 4 ATVs sideways
only challenge now is to re-engineer the bracket mounts for the slide-out beds since they were previously on the rear bumper and tongue. - christopherglenExplorerWhat would be involved with spinning the AC 90 degrees, so the fins are protected at the rear?

I was thinking the same thing. The wind coming at the side might create some issues. Spinning it 90 degrees would solve that problem. It already looks a bit worse for the wear, is the roof coated or something? - tooldad1041ExplorerThis project took a major turn. I picked a different trailer to put the camper on. The idea of making the pop-up removeable seemed more overwhelming than it should be. I even have slide-in truck camper jacks to help with the lifting. However, what do I do with it once it's off and standing in mid air. Solution, a small old boat trailer something similar to be a dolly.
Secondly, when I need the toy hauler, it was most likely for a weekend trip, and was it worth it to go through all the work for one or 2 nights.
I couldn't just permanently put it on the trailer because there are situations when I need the entire flatbed to haul other items.
Then I found a 19ft old camper frame. and the rest is history (or at least finished!) Not quite the length, but most of the I go to buddy's place and he hauls his own, or it is my son and I, so the 2 ATVs is enough - tooldad1041Explorer
