Oh my.... If you are wanting to use your camper at home and have full electric service for it, then DO make an investment and have a 50 amp service put in.
I installed a 30 amp plug for my camper out of my garage (separate from the house). It was the BEST RV modification I ever made. We use the camper all the time at home since. And no fear of blowing any breakers running the air conditioner.
The only down side is, if I ever change campers and end up with a 50 amp RV, I'm toast! But, hooking up a 50 amp outlet would be very easy with out any serious alterations in the garage. After having 100% availability of the camper now, if switching to a 50 amp camper, I'd switch over in a heartbeat!
As stated above, you can run minimally from your standard house hold plug. Jet get the step up-downs from 50, to 30, to 20 amp adapters and hook up all up together (but do consider the 50 amp hook-up... you'll be glad you did!)
