- is_it_friday_yeExplorerYes. I wired my detached garage with a 30 amp outlet and cable tv just for the trailer. We don't have water or sewer though.
- HalmfamilyExplorerI have 50 amp service with sewer and water hook ups. My family loves to come and camp in our back yard.
- RichmcmExplorerYes. Have our MH plugged into a 20 amp outlet. Just can't run the AC. Have not had many visitors where we needed the room but it is certainly a viable option.
- houtrzExplorerI poured a drive way then installed a power panel along with water. My sewer was to far away so I bought a macerator pump with a couple of dedicated gray garden hoses. I keep my RV plugged in 24/7 with the AC set on 78 degrees.
- ValkyriebushExplorer IIYes, I have a full hook up at my house. No one stays in it when park though.
- RoyBExplorer III have both my trailers hooked up from separate 20AMP Service receptacles fromthe home Garage.
I am using HD 10-gauge (10-3) 50-foot extension cords using RV 30A-15A long adapters for each trailer. I can get away with using 12-gauge extension cords but I would not recommend anything smaller that 12-gauge size. Got to inspect all connections for heat problems.
I am able to run just about everything in the trailers including air conditioning but have to watch what high wattage items are running at the same time otherwise it will trip the 20A Breaker in the garage... I have an easy viewable RV 120VAC VOLTMETER that has the safe zone printed in GREEN setup in each trailer so I can get a quick glance before turning on high wattage items.
We sleep out, watch HDTV, and have a great get-away here at home. This is also the best of all worlds for working on RV related things as well as cleaning etc...
Great for maintaining my batteries when parked especially the larger battery bank I have in the OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer...
I too do not have Water or sewer connected... We can easly hook up water from a long water hose but then you have to deal with Black and Gray water in the trailer tanks. I do have a portable RV macerator pump setup but it is pain to deal with it. I have on occasion used the macerator pumping the Black and Gray water into the house septic system.

That is a really nice setup!
Yes, I have a full hook up at my house. - mountainriversExplorerThanks for that information. We would also like to connect water and sewer if possible. Have you considered that, and, if so, how did you connect to the sewer?
- mountainriversExplorerWow! The waste pump kit sounds like the ideal solution and I guess I can just run a garden hose for fresh water. Does anybody know if local regulations are involved with doing any of this?
- I ran a 30 amp shore box to the rear of the camper under ground and run a water hose when needed.. Just no sewer.
