I am not a fan of duallys, but with that weight you will probably need one for the pin weight.
X2 here, I had a 6.4, prone to a lot of problems mechanically and they are well stated in other forums. The 2011 and later with the 6.7 is better on power. Fuel economy is still in the 10 mpg range. Dually if full timing, stability and weight are the factors there. Most any of the diesels be it Dodge, Chevy, or Ford are all about the same IMO. I prefer Ford because you can get them feature rich and comfort, but I would pull with any of the big names as long it was a diesel.
