Check the turning radius of your truck. My '02 D'max can NOT hit my FW when going forward and turning full lock, right or left. My '04 Komfort FW has a very square front, too. ALL will hit going backwards, just some sooner than others. The 4x4 will add several feet, in most cases, to the turning radius. Newer FWs also have cut-away corners to give you more room. My B&W Companion hitch works just fine for me.
