RV trader, NADA etc values should be taken with a grain of salt. I've seen them be WAY off in both directions. RV's, like many other things, are worth what someone will pay for them. eBay is a good barometer if you look at the ended auctions to see what they are truly bringing. I got less than book for my Weekend Warrior, but way more for my XLR.
I was thinking the same thing. I watched 20-30 auctions to see what they sold or did not sell for. I am also seeing stuff listed in rvt and rvtrader thatis is way more than I payed for mine new! If i could make 10 20 grand over what I paid for it SOLD!!!!! Even if I have a bunch of time and money making it right. - rcpd34ExplorerRV trader, NADA etc values should be taken with a grain of salt. I've seen them be WAY off in both directions. - SpleenstomperExplorerThanks. Yes, I don't want to take on this one for 50k. I'd rather get brand new for not much more,

I would hope that the poor guy didn't even pay $50k for that Raptor new! Perhaps he was upside down on a trade. My opinion is that $45k would be top price for that rig and that is a stretch.

As far as worrying about water damage, unless there is visible damage to the roof, a 2012 should still have all the caulking in pretty good shape. That is assuming that it was done properly from the factory! It is recommended to re-caulk every 2 years, but it takes a few years for the factory caulking to deteriorate enough to cause leaks. I would pass on this one, but not for fear of its condition. - SpleenstomperExplorerThe Louisiana sportsman ad is the one I'm talking about... Used twice, 2012, party deck no fireplace.
- SpleenstomperExplorerI'm probably going to pass on this Raptor.
- mibojeExplorerFor pricing comparison purposes, here is one on consignment for $46,500: http://www.rvtrader.com/listing/2012-Keystone-RAPTOR-MP300-111244813
There was one that sold on eBay recently for around $34,000, but it had suffered a leak. - DirtclodsExplorer II

Superficial water damage? Red flag! When you having seconds thoughts go with your gut or that little voice in your heads it's always right!
Your not that far away to buy a new one.
