How do you carry your bicycles?

Front hitch would be nice or welding on a receiver off the back. I'm running a ladder rack and it's worked out fine. The main thing is strapping them tightly to the ladder to prevent all the bouncing and jarring on the ladder. I have to think most of the damage occurs when the bikes are loose and allowed to flop around excessively. Also, I only carry one adult bike and 1 kid's bike so I don't have that much weight on it. I've been doing this for a couple years and check the mounting points of the ladder regularly with no problems being found.
