- Two_HandsExplorerOur fifth wheel was laid out as described by craftyfox. The shower stall had a skylight that we liked during the daylight, but disliked at night because it let in too much light. Other than that we liked the layout just fine.

If you can smell any odors from any of the waste tanks then there is something WRONG......bad seals, bad air admittance valves, bad vents....bad, bad something period!
As to the shower/sink in the bedroom......NO thanks.
Bedrooms typically have carpet......showers drip water from door when opening, spray from shower head gets out of shower etc. Wet carpet...no thanks.
We picked a floorplan with a full bathroom for that reason.
Trailers are just shoe-boxes on wheels. Just so many ways you can turn them/partition them.
So pick the floor plan that works for you and your needs.
I am asking because my friend has a TT and she talks about the odor. Then, we looked at a used unit yesterday that had an odor coming from the toilet area.
So, you smell nothing? - MookieKatExplorer

JUST the kind of thing I needed to hear! Thanx!! - craftyfoxExplorerOurs is a 5th wheel with the open concept..shower in corner near head of bed, sink across the room at the end of the 6 drawer dresser and the commode in a sep. room just before you go down the steps to the kitchen. We like it fine. All the floor plans we've seen with the entire bathroom enclosed have had considerably smaller bedrooms in the 30' length like we have. There is a accordion door that can be pulled to shut off the area from the bedroon and a sliding pocket door to shut it off from downstairs. Altho we use the pocket door a lot, we've never had the other door ufolded..are considering taking it out altogether.

We can hear about things that we never considered. We can learn to avoid mistakes by learning from other people's mistakes.
We have learned soooooooooooooooooooo much about RVs by all of you generously sharing of your knowledge and experience. We are so much more aware of things to look for. You all have so much more wisdom and knowledge than you are aware of! :) - ol_Bombero-JCExplorerHmmmmm - haven't been looking at new 5ths recently, but...
Ours has a shower stall "open" to the bedroom - but has a pull-across curtain to divide the two if desired.
Sink is not enclosed by same.
The commode is in a separate room off the bedroom.
No - can't smell any "chemicals", LOL.
Arrangement is just fine with us - ordered with that floor plan.
As I guess you know, there are 5ths with completely enclosed bathroom "facilities" - shower & commode & maybe sink in one room.
BTW - what is "fine" for me - may *not* be fine for you!
Don't base decisions on what people on a forum like or dislike..:W
