tdst51, You're correct! We are blessed to have some other out buildings on the farm too. Unfortunately they are full too! If you got'em you'll fill em. LOL

I agree, I have a 30 ft Cardinal also. My shed is 22x40 with a 14 ft high opening. I have my work bench, a refrigerator, freezer and shelving with plenty of room for my slides, but if I had to do it over again it would be at least 30x50. There are quite a few things I could store in there if I had more room. Good luck whatever you decide.

As big as you can legally build as well as afford. At my last home I had a 30x45 foot, with a 14 foot tall x 10 foot wide sliding door, fully enclosed Morton pole barn. My then 32 foot 5er just fit with reasonable walk around room. I was also able to store one big car and one small tractor along with some useless 'treasures'.

The message most of us are saying is don't short change your current and possibly future needs. Bigger is almost always best:B.

45x60 and it barely fits? I've got a 40' fifth wheel and about to have a 20x50 built. I'll be able to get completely under and all 5 slides open. At 45' wide I could pull my truck beside the camper.

My doors are on the long sides, so I have only 45' to back in to. My deminsions are outside measurements so inside is closer to 44' or a little less

Went to the county today, my fifth wheel is 40' and I'm able to do 18'x47'.... Told me to wait up to 10 days to get the final answer. I was planning on closing the sides and the back with the front open. I'm using Steve Johnson with Mayberry Metal Structures, Carolinia Carport product. 18x47 will get me in with all 5 slides able to open.

My fiver bay is 18 x 44, sidewalls are 15.5 ft high which provides enough headroom for a 14 x 13.5 H sectional insulated door. I recommend a Chamberlin Liftmaster door opener, it mounts on the torsion bar/cable shaft rather than a long chain drive type and costs the same. For natural light, rather than skylights in the roof, I installed them in the upper half of the sidewalls. Less risk of hail damage or leaks and light is needed on the sides of the camper, not shining on it's roof.
