For me this is no brainer, there is nothing on my fifth wheel more valuable than my family. I have encounter this exact scenario on I-26 outside of Spartanburg and was able to get to the next exit traveling 45 mph without causing any other damage to the fifth wheel. The way people drive these days, I was more worried about getting hit from behind by a semi truck traveling 80 mph.
I now do the bulk of my traveling at night when traffic is lighter.
