How many here have tailgate clearance issues

I also have a Retrax cover, and a Custom Flow Vee gate. And a Custom Flow insert to fill the Vee. So it can be done.

Now, I can't say I love that insert. Poorly designed and a PITA to use is more accurate. For the most part, when I need security I swap in my regular tailgate, and when I tow I swap in my Vee gate. That's actually easier than installing the Vee filler. But in those rare instances when I tow my fiver somewhere, and then need a secure bed during the trip, the Vee filler does work.

I think a creative guy could make his own filler that would be easier to install/remove. Might not look quite as good, but could be more functional. I'm also not sure Custom Flow still makes that insert. It was hard to find even 5 years ago.
