We started camping/boon docking in the early '60s.....reason was relaxing/fishing /peace and quiet. Gen sets were scarce to non existant.
Our favorite boon dock places became a nite mare with gen sets running 24/7/loud music from exterior speakers/etc became the norm.
So we don't boon dock anymore as we still like a nice quiet camping experience. Everyone "camps"/"rv's" for a different reason.
I do have a 5500/8500 Generac gen set for running using around the place running my welder/compressor/powered equipment while working some where on my 40 acres....and for the house when lines go down during ice or severe weather events. But with no close neighbors no one can to hear the noise.
