Is it just me?? I just expect the things to break every time I push the switches. And it's not just this RV (2016 Keystone Hideout). My old Salem scared me as well.... although it seemed a bit more...

I guess I have been fortunate in that through three different units with slides, I have yet to run into a major mechanical issue...knock on wood.
I too sweat the stuff that might have opened, dropped, or otherwise found its way into the path of the slides. Some velcro ties and a good looking over before any movement is always a good idea.
