How much does all of that stuff that you put into your RV really weigh? By stuff I mean everything that you put into it.I have heard its anywhere from six hundred and fifty pounds to 2,000 pounds. Six hundred and fifty pounds seems light and 2,000 pounds seems heavy to me.-BC-

For us, 2,000 is right on, including a generator and W/D set.I dry weighed my last rig when we took delivery, and periodically thereafter and it grew by 2,000 lbs. When we bought this one I did the same and it was almost exactly 2,000 added to the gross. If I count water on this one, it's almost 2,900 lbs.We are not full timers, so our cargo would be considered light in the scheme of things.

I guess it depends on how large the RV is and what you bring along. Some might have very little and have 500 or less. Some own a toy hauler and have quads, MC’s, and toys that can weigh thousands before you even add in the weight of everything else loaded. We have about 1000 lbs. total loaded and fall right in the middle of your range.

Not difficult to get into the 2000 pound range with a 5th wheel. Most have very large basements and for some reason any empty space gets filled.

I'm around 15-1800, easy.But I also tow a TH.

Our TT toyhauler can carry 150 gallons (over 1200#) of water and fuel plus atvs makes adding a couple thousand pounds of weight no biggie. When we are not boondocking or bringing the toys, we are just over 7K, loaded for riding and weeklong camping we are 10K.

OP specifically stated weekend/vacation camping trips, so 3,000 pounds would be highly unlikely.

I have noticed more and more full timers pulling pretty large cargo trailers behind a motor home.

Our scale weight has increased 4,100# since we brought our Mobile Suites home from the dealer.

So far I win, not so sure that is a good thing!

2800# fulltime and I think were light compared to many just watching the stuff they unload.

We're long termers and carry approx 3K. All depends on your type of camping and length of time. Ours is ready to go 24/7 fully equiped for everything and anything.

Depending on your lifestyle you can really add a lot of weight over time. Our rig came off the factory floor at 12,285. 7 1/2 years later it's 17,100.
