I pull an MXT20 toy hauler ( 25Ft including tongue ) loaded with motorcycle and have no problems at all with a 2013 Tundra DC ( Texas edition ) 5.7L
loaded weight ( measured ) last trip with motorcycle, 25 gallons water, empty waste tanks, lots of food, generator, gas cans, clothing and cooler with beer !! was 5967lbs and tongue weight ( measured ) was 670lbs
I have a reese pro WDH rated at 10,000/1000 and it tows real smooth, even in high winds. I recently came back from a 5000 mile trip to several national parks. Freeway speeds aroung 65 to 70 and mpg a miserable 10 mpg. my only real complaint is the mpg and the rather small 26 gallon tank..
I run the shift in the "S" mode to 5th.. the tow/haul mode off.. I think the tow mode is for when towing at max capacity.. all it did for me was to rev the s h i t out of the engine and stay in 4th gear !!
