- 8ntw8tnExplorerAs we return from Texas each spring I dump the tanks after our last stop on the way home. I put RVDigestIt in the tanks along with a samll quatity of water to keep the tanks "fresh" for the summer. I make sure I've got at least a half-tank of fresh water on board and put in enough bleach to make it a 10% solution and run the faucets to get the solution into the lines. A day or so after getting home I empty the fresh water tank and refill it with fresh water, adding a cup or so of lemon juice to keep it that way. I run the new solution through the lines to get the bleach solution out. The perishable food comes into the house and the refrigeratior is shut off. We don't use the trailer more than a couple of times during the summer but it's pretty easy to get it ready if we decide to take it out.
