I Don't Know What My Truck Can Tow!
I have a 2007 Dodge Ram MegaCab 1500 with the 5.7L HEMI. I'm seem to get lost doing the math on what I can actually tow for a 5'VR. And since it's a shortbox, am I gonna have issues towing a 5'VR? ...

Not so fast. That 2007 Dodge Megacab has the same axels as a 3/4 ton or SWD 1 ton. The 2400 lb payload is a hint. Unless he is going to pull over 12, 000 lbs, the diesel dually is overkill. The Hemi has plenty of power. I pulled a 6950 lb 5er with a 1500lb load capacity with my 2006 Ram 1500 Hemi and it didn't have the 3/4 ton running gear .
EDIT. His truck is basically a 2500HD badged as a 1500, because it is a MegaCab.
