I Think We Made A Mistake - Advice on This

Our new Keystone Cougar 327res is HOME! We could NOT be happier! We made the RIGHT choice! It's a dream come true...so much room, this looks like a home not a "camping trailer". Luxury, pure luxury!

Thank you to everyone that made me NOT feel so stupid! I'm so glad we were not the only ones that had gone thru this! This Cougar is a keeper!

The last fiver we had was a 297RKSWE. We liked it. But before that Cougar, we bought smaller Cougar. Signed papers and everything. Had it for 1 day. Didn't even take delivery. DW and I went 'round and 'round, that night, about the size. The sales people were more than happy to sell us a bigger and more expense one. :?

Not to highjack a thread - but I like a sound machine at night: I sleep listening to one sound at home; and a different sound while camping, to remind me where I am! I first did this with our Class C, to remember that the step out of bed (cabover) is a BIG one...LOL!

And to the OP: congratulations, and may you have many happy camping trips this summer!!

I wish just had that little bit of apprehension about making a choice on our RV. We've had many RV's over the years, and you would have thought we learned long ago. We had 4 different models, starting with a Pop-up when the kids were small, grew into several different sizes of TT, and the kids went away to college. Didn't have time(or money) for RV'ing, so we sold the big TT and went a different route.

Well, the kids graduated, and we wanted to go camping again. Didn't have a big vehicle for towing now, so ended up with another Pop-up. It wasn't enough, so went to a 19' TT, wasn't enough, then a 24' TT, and now, the 30' 5ver you see in the picture. This was in a 5 year span, and only the Pop-up we kept for more than 1 year - Seriously, 2 bought and sold 2 TTs, both in under 18 months. Really did fine, money wise, but obviously it would have been better starting with the 5ver! Of course, also have a big truck now too.

Bringing our total to 8 RVs, I think we're set now.

Sounds great! I know you'll enjoy the new camper! Remember... do those driveway campouts so you get use to everything before you actually hit the road! It's a lot of fun, and also helps acclimate yourself to the new camper.

Funny ... when we sleep in the camper, and wake up in the middle of the night, we have that initial allusion we're still in the house, get out of bed and slam into a wall.

Then, after several nights in the camper, wake up in the house in the middle of the night and slam into another wall.

Congratulations on the new trailer. There will always be things that bug me about any rig i purchase. Making it perfect in around 300sqft is pretty impossible. For instance my water closet is entirely too small but in trade I have an excellent desk and nice living room. When taking care of business resting my head against the forward wall, I get a nice reminder of how great it is to have a nice living room and desk! I guess it's all in the way we look at things.

Congratulations! Now don't look back, and don't look forward until you enjoy that Cougar a little bit first :)

We love our Cougar! Floor plan works for us and all systems are a go! No complaints!

Well, we pulled the trigger - we are getting our brand spanking new 2013 Keystone Cougar 327RES. PDI is Friday morning! Never had a NEW one before! Hope we are in for a treat!
