I would like to get opinions of the Cougar High Country

We are still trying to pull a 5th wheel with my 2001 F-250 Diesel pick up. The Cougar High Country 317RLS weighs in at 8605 lbs. and has a hitch weight of 1660 lbs so I think my rig will be OK pulling this trailer. We like the lay out and for the price I think this may even get us started sooner because we wouldn't have to purchase a new rig.

Thank you in advance and all help will be appreciated.

  • Yes, there are some advantages but not having TV in bedroom is an issue.
  • I don't know why they don't like the bed in that position, it is easier to make the bed that way then the other way. there is more room in the bed room this way too.
  • Looks like a nice unit but we've never really cared for that type of layout in the bedroom.
  • Another option is the crusader 295 rst. 8950 dry 1250 hitch. 32ft with 3 slides.
Very nice tow. We've owned our champagne touring edition for a year and are very happy with both the trailer and the company who builds it.
