Ice skating

How many of you have slipped on your keister on your ramp!

I was unloading some chairs it was a bit damp that morning and I had flip flops on and as I was going up the ramp to get another chair blammo right on my keister.
  • I had the same problem. Go online to the 3m site and order a 2 ft wide roll of non skid. I put mine on in the sun on a hot day. No more slipping, even loading the M/Cs. Good luck.
  • Crocs aren't much better than flip flops....

Anyone get a youtube video out of it??...at least you'd have something to pass around the campfire...:B.....Dennis
  • First of all, flip-flops = invention of the devil himself, designed to send as many souls to their eternal reward as possible as rapidly as possible.

You may have guessed that I don't wear them. There are two reasons for this, one of them being that I've never seen a pair that had any traction whatever when things got wet, or otherwise slippery, and I have an aversion to landing on my keister. Or my face. And yes, this from experience.

So while I have NEVER gone skating while moving anything on the ramp of the TH I've never owned, I have had footwear fail me on the traction front.
  • Our 05 Raptor had the sand paper grit finish, on a dry day it wasn't an issue but add a bit of water and it could be a crazy slick finish.

yep, done it a time or two, always treacherous when the ramp is damp going down is worse than up as I usually ride or walk it up under power.
