Improve 5th wheel capacity

Carriage is no longer in business.

Need to ask that question of the manufacture!
They may send you a new VIN sticker with upgraded numbers, if you provide proof that the bigger axles were installed.

That's just the defining the registration fee. Not changing the GVWR.

I know it's really none of my business, but seems your current rig has 2350 lbs of payload. How much payload does one need if it is not a toy hauler? Probably a lot easier to go through your trailer and start removing items never used.

As with essentially all jurisdictions, all they care about is licencing fees for small and moderate trailers, no proof and no liability on actual capacity. Truck capacity trailers become another issue, and should be kept as another issue and not confused with any but the extremes of the RV class as is so commonly done.

Specifically which statute are you quoting about.
Who exactly are "the authorities" that require this proof?
Specifically what proof are they given by the manufacturer for the original capacity.

If you're looking to increase the amount you want to carry then you'd have to certify that the frame was up to task.
If you're currently carrying the max on the 5er and just want a higher margin without actually carrying more them I'd see no problem with it.

Carriage use the same frame for the Cameo, Carrilite. When I look at the brochures I don't see the difference except the running gear (axles, tires) useing this thinking I should be able to take my 34ck3 with 14,999# rating which it has 7k axles and 80psi/ 8ply tire and upgrade the tire to 14 or 16 ply 110psi with 4k carring capacity each and by able to have the trailer at 15,500# with no problem. I'm using my rig as an example becuase I have the scale tickets recently and know what all the weights are showing.
If the OP has upgraded his Cameo's running gear it's no different than having a carrilites rating without the sticker on the side of the rig. He could be legal just by registering the trailer for more weight at the dmv.
