I have a 2008 Domani I bought used last year. Due to circumstances, the trailer had never been slept in. It is a beautiful trailer with high end components and we like ours. But:
- The walls are hung fiberglass held up with aluminum extrusions which are attached with zinc plated screws. Electrolysis causes the screws to corrode, then wick moisture and corrode then loosen and wick more moisture. I replaced all mine with stainless screws (over 600)
- The leather on the ulphostry is thin and doesn't wear well.
- The pin box is not adjustable plus the TorFlex axles are engineered as a structural member of the engineered frame so they can't be flipped. Make sure it will fit your truck. Mine towed nose high and chucking was severe. Ended up with a shorter Trailer Saver hitch. Once dialed in correctly it tows beautifully.
- The table to couch positioning was not ideal. Had to find a solution for that.
- The electric black tank valve is prone to sticking.
The Domani's sold for $85k to $115k new and their timing in 08 was unfortunate. That being said, we love ours. The layout works for us and the interior is striking. We are satisfied with our purchase. Feel free to PM me if you want more details that would bore this forum.
