Installation cost for a residential refrigerator.

If you are traveling into Alabama, there is a RV repair company in Red Bay, catering to the Tiffin owners, that installs residential refrigerators plus other upgrades. I don't know the name, but a little research on the Tiffin website that links to the owner's forum should get you the information you need.

Red Bay is where Tiffin Ind. (they build Allegro Bus, Allegro Bay, etc.) is located. I wouldn't think they would work on any brand other than their own brand.

We have measured and can fit the refrigerator through the RV door which is directly opposite the space for the refrigerator, by turning on it's side with the doors removed. We had do the the same thing when we had a large French door refrigerator put in our house.

Yes, we plan to have an inverter installed and will also need a water line as we don't currently have an ice maker.

Thanks for the post about the hours charged by your RV repair facility. That is what I was asking about. Our local repair facility charges $100/hr labor. I plan to get an estimate from them but was curious if labor was cheaper in the Midwest or South. I was guessing about 5-6 hours to do the install and it's good to know that's about right.

I'm almost willing to bet the farm that if you remove the doors you will have the room you need to get that fridge through your doorway sideways.
Removing those doors is not a big deal. Might be a piece of snap-on trim over the top hinge plates and after that perhaps a total of six screws for the two doors with them "usually" lifting off the bottom hinge pins and if you have water delivery to the left door, it's very likely a push-connect fitting down behind the bottom trim vent strip where you'll also find any electrical connections for the in-door lights, switches for water/ice, night light or de-frost heat strips. Ten minutes tops.

drfife is correct.. my apline FW door opening is 28 inches.

so both fridges will fit with their doors removed.
