RV insurance is not for covering wear/tear or poor workmanship. It is for accidents or events such as hail, fire, lightning, theft, collision, etc.
And wind damage. Insurance will pay if the siding blew off due to the wind while under tow. Typically its called comprehensive insurance. It should not pay if the failure was caused by a leak or poor construction. Typically, the policy states the loss is caused by a sudden and unexpected fire, hail, wind, or water flood event or an act of God. A rook leak is not sudden but rather a slow process of damage so that is why it is not covered.
