Interconnect genny tank with fuel station tank?

I have a Voltage 3950 with two fuel tanks at the back that are not connected to each other. I use the fuel station for toys quite a bit, but the generator not so much. I want to be able to transfer fuel out of the generator tank - preferably into the fuel station but if worse comes to worst, into an external gerry can.

Anybody done this?

Suggestions where to cut and splice?

THanks.
  • I'm guessing you can tee off supply line from genny tank to your pump. Thinking of doing the exact opposite so I can run my genny longer with out having to go out and fuel it up. Also thinking of replacing that pump also, It's not always reliable.
  • Add a fuel line on the bottom of one tank to the other? fill one tank and you fill both?

    Makes sense. Thanks

  • I'm curious as to why? To avoid stale fuel or ?? not trying to be a ---- Just curious.
  • A slightly more costly but MUCH more versatile solution might be a small 12 V fuel transfer pump; one with flexible hoses on both sides.

Anti-siphon baffles in the filler pipes can make that option difficult sometimes though.
